FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (August 4, 2022)
The Ferris Public Library has the school supply list for all of Ferris ISD schools. Be sure to come by before the Tax-free weekend Friday, August 5, through Sunday, August 7, 2022 and get the list for your child’s school.
Our book sale will be ending at the end of August. There are still books by popular authors available and you can’t beat the price!
We still have some great pictures of the summer reading club on the library’s Facebook page. You should check it out.
NEW BOOKS: “The Homewreckers” by Mary Kay Andrews, “Sparring Partners” by John Grisham, “Clive Cussler’s Dark Vector” by Graham Brown, “Summer Love” by Nancy Thayer, “Every Mother’s Son” by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone, “Back to the Prairie: A Home Remade, a Life Rediscovered” (Bio) by Melissa Gilbert, “Brighter by the Day: Waking Up to New Hopes and Dreams” (Dewey 158) by Robin Roberts, and “The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor – the Truth and the Turmoil” Dewey 941) by Tina Brown.
WORD OF THE WEEK: “Taradiddle” – noun meaning pretentious nonsense. There is a myth that tarradiddle was born in the town of Taradiddle, Ireland; that itself is tarradiddle because there is no such town.
