FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (August 5, 2021)
The Ferris Public Library offers all Ferris students access to free E-Books. If this is something your child wants to continue or sign-up for, they can ask the school’s librarian to give them an E-Book Parental Permission form for you to fill out and sign.
Four hundred twenty-four students took advantage of this program last year. Both books and audiobooks are available through our vendor Overdrive. They have graphic novels, new releases, both fiction and non-fiction for all ages. All E-Book cards that were issued will expire on Sept. 30, 2021.
Also, we are collaborating with Ferris ISD so that students can register online here at the Ferris Public Library. You will need your login information. Supply lists for all grades of Ferris students are available for you to pick up if you haven’t purchased supplies yet or missed the Back to School Fair.
As a reminder, David Lusk’s School of Magic will be on our Facebook page until Sept. 30, 2021. He demonstrates how to perform each trick, six in total, so that you can amaze your friends and family. Magic lessons range from beginner to advanced.

Parker’s Payback” by Mike Lupica, “The Girl from the Channel Islands” by Jenny Lecoat, “A Gambling Man” by David Baldacci, “Shadow Rider: Apache Sundown” by Jory Sherman, “The Unfit Heiress: The Tragic Life and Scandalous Sterilization of Ann Cooper Hewitt” (Bio) by Audrey Clare Farley, “Killing the Mob: The Fight Against Organized Crime in America” (Dewey 364) by Bill O’Reilly, and “Facing the Mountain: A True Story of Japanese American Heroes in World War II” (Dewey 940) by Daniel James Brown.
