FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (August 8, 2019)
The Ferris Public Library had a fantastic time at the Ferris ISD Back to School Fair Saturday. Not only were we able to promote all the services the library has to offer, but we were able to see the car show and visit almost all the great vendors that were there. This is an annual event that Ferris ISD holds, with free school supplies and uniform exchange, so if you missed it this year, be sure to watch for it about this same time next year!
On Saturday, Aug. 10, starting at 10 a.m., Texas Civil Defense will be holding a free Constitution Boot Camp here at the library. They have a well-versed speaker to help you understand all your rights provided to you as a citizen. I’ve spoken with a few of their members, and this meeting is going to be interesting as well as informative.
The Ferris Public Library’s Annual Book Sale will be closing at the end of August, so if you haven’t taken advantage of the great prices on these books and DVDs you’re running out of time. All the books in this sale have been donated throughout the year, so there’s a wide variety of authors and topics to choose from. And prices have been lowered!
