FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (February 24, 2022)
There’s still time to enter the Ferris Public Library’s Black History Month Contest!
Each time a book about Black History or a book written by an African American author is checked out, that person’s name is automatically entered into the drawing contest. The contest ends on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, and the drawing will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The lucky winners will receive a Walmart gift card.
The library has a large selection of Black History books for all ages. In addition, we have several free coloring pages your child may take home to color as an additional treat.
The Ellis County Election Department will be holding the Joint Primary Election here at the library from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2022.
The voter registration deadline has passed for this election, but you may register to vote in the Joint May Election to be held on May 7, 2022. The last day to register for the May election is Thursday, April 7, 2022.
To register, go online at votetexas.gov or come by the library and get a Texas Voter Registration Application that you may fill out and mail to the Registrar of Voters in Waxahachie.
