FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (January 16, 2023)
The Ferris Public Library has our Black History books on display. There are biographies and the telling of events that have taken place throughout history. The library has books for all ages displayed. Come by and check them out.
The Dewitt County Shutterbugs Photography Contest is underway. There are several categories for both divisions, adult and youth. Prizes range from $50.00 to $100.00 for adults and youth prizes are $10.00 to $30.00. Entry fees are $5.00 per category for adults and $3.00 for youth entries, per category. WORD OF THE WEEK: “Tomfoolery” (tahm-FOOL-ree) means playful or foolish behavior. In her book Anne of Green Gables, author Lucy Maud Montgomery had one character describe Anne as “writing stories or practicing dialogues or some such tomfoolery, and never thinking once about the time or her duties.”
