FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (October 17, 2019)
The Ferris Public Library will be working with Ferris ISD to offer free E-book usage to their students. This service will be available to the following schools:
Ferris Intermediate
Ferris Jr. High
Ferris High School
You may get an application from the school’s librarian or pick one up from us. The completed form will need to be returned to the student’s school campus. The library is pleased to be able to provide this free resource to our community students that are enrolled at Ferris ISD.
Lucy Mae McDonald’s Family Fiesta was terrific last Friday. The performers were great, and the food was good. We look forward to being invited back to promote the library again next year.
Aurora Ramirez did a fantastic job with the Fall Adult Class on Saturday. The wreaths they made were beautiful. I encourage people to attend the next offered adult craft class. Classes are free, and Aurora is very creative.
After-School Game Time for ages 7 through 17, is held every Tuesday, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Kids can play Wii and PS4 on the large screens, and for those that like the board games they can play them as well.
Story Time for pre-school children is on each Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Children will be treated to a story, fun activities, and have a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the Treasure Chest.
