LOCAL STUDENT UPDATE: January 25, 2024

Local students who were named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock include Keila Finnestad, Landri Schreier and Keya Sowells of Midlothian. Landri was also named to the Fall 2023 Chancellor’s List. To be named to the UA Little Rock Chancellor’s List, a student must have completed at least nine credit hours with a 3.9 GPA or higher.

Tayton Hjorth, Ashley Van Eyck and Gracie Aguirre of Ennis, and Breona Wheaton of Waxahachie were named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at Southern New Hampshire University

The following local students were named to the Fall 2023 President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University: Thomas Cooper, Courtney Locke, Lacy-Mari Jones, Latrisha Nelson and Amy White of Ennis; Justin Perez of Ferris; Kaylon Mitchell of Glenn Heights; Amber Frazier of Glenn Heights; Phillip Cabaniss of Italy; Emmanuel Bamgbose, Hanna Griggs, Melissa Irvin and Matthew Woods of Midlothian; Esmeralda Morquecho of Milford; Luis Trujillo, Jose Gonzalez and Kaneshia Wesley of Red Oak; Isabella Alvarez, Gabriel Gomez, Ryan Miller and Christina Turner of Waxahachie.

The following local students were named to the Dean’s List for the 2023 Fall semester at Angelo State University: Kayla Martinez and Hannah White of Ennis; Emma Garrison, Mariah Griffin, Rance Purser and Wesley Wright of Midlothian; Rose Giambruno-Fuge, Jacob Ramirez, Emily Silvia and Benjamin Stafford of Waxahachie.

Amaris Alfaro of Waxahachie was named to the Fall Dean’s List at Missouri State University.

Dario Rodriguez and Sarah Russell of Ennis, and Michael Rivera of Red Oak were named to the Fall Dean’s List at the University of Texas at Tyler.

Hannah Erdman and Megan Swanberg of Midlothian, Tara Stewart and Chelsea Wilson of Ovilla, and Rebekah Hopgood, Brendolyn Oconnor, Nina Robling, Claire Wilkie and Melody Wilson of Waxahachie were named to the Fall President’s List at the University of Texas at Tyler. 

Daylen Jackson of Ennis and Moses Martindale of Glenn Heights were named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at Graceland University.

Collin Downey of Midlothian was named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Austen Grammer of Ennis was named to the President’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2023 semester at Bismarck State College.

Janicia Gonzalez of Midlothian and Elizabeth Dorris of Waxahachie were named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at the University of Dallas.

Jenny Sorensen of Waxahachie was named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s Honor List at Cedarville University.

Jada Sands of Glenn Heights was named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at Mississippi State University.

Ashley Heartwell of Waxahachie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama during its Fall 2023 commencement ceremonies.

Marcus de Freitas of Midlothian received his Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security, Summa Cum Laude from LeTourneau University during its Fall 2023 commencment ceremonies.

Katelyn Newsome of Midlothian, and Daniel D’Agosta and Heather Fellows of Waxahachie were named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List at LeTourneau University.
