LOCAL STUDENT UPDATE: June 30, 2022

Kylicia Smith of Waxahachie received a Master of Science in Sports Journalism from Quinnipiac University during a commencement ceremony held in May.

Ouachita Baptist University named Emily Shipman of Midlothian, Connor Bjerke of Oak Leaf, and Temi Fayiga of Waxahachie to its Spring 2022 President’s List.

Nathanial Alcantar of Ennis, Christian Hampton and Jesus Martinez of Ferris, Leyla Galindo of Glenn Heights, Faith Lehew of Maypearl, Phoebe Gillies and Sidney Seymor of Midlothian, Rodney Rudd of Palmer, Marcus Edwards and Aujanae Phillips of Red Oak, and Kate Chandler, Kailey Cloud, Lily Downard and Timothy Miller of Waxahachie were named to Sam Houston State University’s Spring 2022 Dean’s List.

Christian Hampton of Ferris, Sidney Seymour of Midlothian, Rodney Rudd of Palmer and Timothy Miller of Waxahachie were named to Sam Houston State University’s Spring 2022 President’s Honor Roll.

Hannah Erdman of Midlothian, and Madeleine Colvard and Taylor Stoops of Waxahachie were named to the UT Tyler Spring 2022 Dean’s List.

Emillee Peña of Midlothian was named to the UT Tyler Spring President’s Honor Roll.

Zion Dove graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College during Spring 2022 graduation ceremonies with a Liberal Arts & Sciences degree.

Rachel Renner from Waxahachie graduated with a BSN, while majoring in Nursing, from Bradley University in May.

Robin Dodson of Ennis earned a Master of Science in Management from University of Maryland Global Campus.
