Red Oak resident receives NWBA All-American academic award

Texas Online Preparatory School Junior Jeraldo Henry, Jr. is one of only 11 students nationwide to receive an award from the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Junior Division.

He was honored with the NWBA’s Timothy J. Nugent High School Academic team award at a ceremony in Richmond, Virginia. He was chosen based on his essay and video submission.

Earlier this month, his team, the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks, competed in the 2024 NWBA tournament in Richmond.

This summer he will participate in wheelchair basketball camps at the University of Missouri, Auburn University, University of Illinois and UT-Arlington.
