The creative power of prayer (part 5)
“To proclaim liberty to the captives.” – Luke 4:18
Jesus spent much of His time and ministry casting out demons and setting the captives free. Today, because of our modern day psychiatry and mental illness experts, science and medicine we have chosen not to believe in the supernatural and we have put our trust in man.
I can testify that we are still dealing with the demonic and the true church of Jesus Christ is called to cast them out, setting the captives free! Shortly after I was saved, a friend and I were called to a man’s home who was possessed with demons lying on his back and being thrown up into the air. As we walked in he flipped over on all fours peering at us like a mad dog and then he lunged at us. This being my first experience with a demoniac we grabbed him and threw him on the couch and cast demons out of him for four hours until he was free.
The man was a fence rider with one foot in the church and the other in the world, a dangerous place to be for someone claiming to be a believer. We found out as we prayed over him that he had been molested and was involved in immorality from childhood, another door opened for demons to enter. After that experience my faith was strengthened and I proceeded to take hundreds through deliverance, casting out thousands of demons and seeing many set free and liberated from the powers of darkness.
“And these signs will follow those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons.” – Mark 16:17
