ON THE JOB TRAINING (PART 34)
“A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’” – LUKE 14:16,17
The “Great Commission” has been given to all believers to go and preach the gospel to all nations, not just professional preachers or theologians, but all of us are called to GO.
Problem being, most are staying, making excuses why they shouldn’t, like those who were invited to God’s supper.
Those whom the servant invited gave excuses of buying land, trying out their oxen and another had just been married and excused himself.
Today is no different, the church is too comfortable here in America wanting a nice message of peace and safety while the world drops off into a burning inferno forever.
We are the called and no-one else is going to do our job. The world is lost and dying all around us needing the gospel of Jesus Christ and we hold the keys to eternal life.
Will you obey the commission? Will you lay down your life for the lost, will you give your money to support those who will? There are millions of excuses why we shouldn’t, couldn't or wouldn’t go but none of these are sufficient to excuse us from our God-given duty. So, what's your excuse?
Then the master said to the servant, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.” – LUKE 14:23,24
