The miracles of Jesus (part 21)
And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude and He was moved to compassion for them and healed their sick. – Matthew 14:14
When evening came, the disciples came to Him and told Him to send the people away so they could go to the villages and find food. But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
The disciples said they only had five loaves and two fish and He said, “Bring them here to Me and have the people sit down.” And looking up to Heaven He blessed, broke the bread and gave the loaves to the disciples and the disciples gave to the multitudes and they all ate and were filled.
That day there may have been 10-15,000 people fed because women and children were not counted.
Jesus was giving an illustration of Divine Multiplication by giving out of His lack it was multiplied back to Him supernaturally.
I remember the first offering I gave being broke when I gave my last $100.00 and that week, I made a $1000.00! Praise God I discovered His will for giving. Over the years I have seen time and time again His miracles of giving and receiving and what a blessing it has been.
“Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” – Luke 6:38
