The Miracles of Jesus (part 9)

Then behold they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.” – Matthew 9:2

God the Son has the power to forgive sins and to heal all sickness, disease and infirmity. The religious crowd who by the way were waiting for their Messiah to come were distraught over Jesus forgiving sin because they did not think He was the One.

If you are going to follow Jesus as He leads you to do the works of God, the church folks and religious zealots will be one of your greatest opponents. Because of tradition and doctrine these people will always come against you because you don’t line up with their thinking. Ignore them and do what the Lord is leading you to do and not what they want you to do because of their ignorance.

The devil hates miracles, healing and deliverance, and will try and quench your God given anointing and stop your forward motion any chance he gets.

Resist him and continue to be about your Father’s heavenly business.

Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’ But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins. Arise, take up your bed and go to your house.” – Matthew 9:4-6
