PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL, City of Ferris, Texas

 

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a rezoning request initiated by Phillip Saenz to amend specific portions of Planned Development – 20, in order to develop the property as mixed use development.  

The subject property is generally located on the East line of IH-45 and north of E. 8th St, within the City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas and further described as 9.554 acres tracts within the Mason Phelps Survey, Abstract No. 824, and being a portion of ECAD Property #188845, # 188847, #188992.

The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this rezoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday,  March 21, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Ferris City Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.

All persons interested in the proposed rezoning request  to amend specific portions of Planned Development – 20 are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time.  Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the City at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the joint public hearing at the following address:
