PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL
City of Ferris, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a zoning request initiated by MJ Crocker Company LLC (represented by Melvin Barnes) to amend a portion of the Planned Development-18 (PD-18) Ordinance No. O-19-890 (adopted on May 20, 2019) in order to modify that portion of the PD’s development restrictions.
The subject property is generally located at the northeast corner of E. 5th Street and N. Baker Street, within the City of Ferris, Texas and also within Ellis County, Texas (legal description: Lots 1R and 2R in Block A of the Southern Creek Addition, ECAD #276458 and #276459).
The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
The joint public hearing will be held in the regular meeting place, the Ferris Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.
All persons interested in the proposed zoning request are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time. Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the City at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the joint public hearing at the following address:
