NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Ferris will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 27th and City Council on Monday, July 1st at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 215 W. Sixth Street, Ferris, Texas to consider to the following:

Granting a change in zoning from Planned Development 1 (“PD-1”) to Planned Development 1 Revised 4 (“PD-1 REV 4”) on property located East of Rolling Hills Dr. and North of Western Hills Dr., described as Lot 12, Block F and Lots 29, 32, 33, 44, 45, 47, and 48, Block C of the Western Hills 3 Addition and Lots 26 and 27, Block C of the Western Hills 1 Addition of the City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas; and

Amending Title XV, Chapter 154 of the Code of Ordinances of The City of Ferris, Texas, entitled “Zoning Regulations”, by amending Section 154.010(A) “Permitted Uses”, by amending “Machine Shop” and its associated restriction designations to require a special use permit within the Corridor Commercial District (C-C).

All interested persons are invited to attend and make comments. Citizens unable to attend may submit written comments to the Mayor, Jim Swafford, at Ferris City Hall, 100 Town Plaza, Ferris, Texas 75125.
