PUBLIC NOTICE: CITY OF RED OAK PUBLIC NOTIFICATION FOR FLOOD HAZARD REVISIONS

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION FOR FLOOD HAZARD REVISIONS
The City of Red Oak, in Ellis County, Texas, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65. 7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City of Red Oak’s and Ellis ‘County and COUNTRYVIEW of RED OAK’s L.L.C.’s intent to revise the flood hazard information, along Brushy Creek and generally north of Rushy Creek Trail and south of State Highway 342.
Specifically, the floodway shall be revised from a point approximately 380 feet downstream of Rushy Creek Trail (a County Street ) and approximately 50 feet downstream of State Highway 342.
As a result of the floodway revlsion, the floodway
shall narrow from an approximate width of 290 feet to approximately 175 feet on average.
In addition, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall be revised from a point approximately 50 feet downstream of State Highway 342 to 380
feet downstream of Rushy Creek Trail.
As a result of the revision, the 1% annual chance water surface elevations shall decrease and
the 1 % annual chance floodplain shall narrow within the area of revision.
