SMALL TAXING UNIT NOTICE

Ellis County Emergency Services District No. 5 will hold a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Station #2, 101 Ewing, Ferris, Texas to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2024. The proposed tax rate is $0.029493 per $100 of value.

The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in Ellis County Emergency Services District No. 5 by 4.29%.

The 86th Texas Legislature modified the manner in which the voter-approval tax rate is calculated to limit the rate of growth of property taxes in the state.
