NOTICE OF ELECTION
(AVISO DE ELECCIÓN)
Notice is hereby given that Ellis County Emergency Services District No. 5 (the “District”) will hold an election within the District on May 1, 2021, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of (A) authorizing an increase in the maximum ad valorem tax rate that the District may impose on property within the District to a rate not to exceed ten cents ($0.10) per one hundred dollars ($100) valuation and (B) adopting a local sales and use tax in the District at a rate not to exceed two percent (2%) in any location in the District. (Por lo presente se avisa que el Distrito de Servicios de Emergencia Número 5 del Condado de Ellis (el “Distrito”) llevará a cabo una elección el 1 de mayo de 2021, entre las horas de 7:00 a.m. y 7:00 p.m. dentro del Distrito con el propósito de (A) autorizar un aumento en la tasa máxima de impuestos ad valorem que el Distrito puede imponer en propiedad dentro del Distrito a una tasa que no exceda diez centavos ($0.10) en cada cien dólares ($100) de valuación y (B) adoptando un impuesto local de ventas y uso en el Distrito con una tasa que no exceda dos por ciento (2%) en cualquier localidad del Distrito.)
The propositions will appear on the ballots in the following form:
PROPOSITION A
Authorizing an increase in the maximum ad valorem tax rate that Ellis County Emergency Services District No. 5 may impose on property within the District to a rate not to exceed ten cents ($0.10) per one hundred dollars ($100) valuation. FOR ( ) AGAINST ( )
PROPOSITION B
The adoption of a local sales and use tax in Ellis County Emergency Services District No. 5 at a rate not to exceed two percent (2%) in any location in the District. FOR ( ) AGAINST ( )

On Election Day, eligible voters may vote at any location within Ellis County.
The locations can be found in the Waxahachie Daily Light, Waxahachie Sun, Ennis Daily News, Ellis County Press and Midlothian Mirror published the same day as this notice and online at http://www.co.ellis.tx.us/629/Upcoming-Elections. Voters are not limited to voting in the precinct where they are registered to vote.
