NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC ANNEXATION HEARING
Planning & Zoning Commission and Ferris City Council
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a rezoning request initiated by Brett Hess to rezone a 17.442-acre property from the Single-Family Residential District (R-1) to Planned Development – 21 with base zoning of Multi-Family Residential District (MF-18) and Commercial Corridor Retail District (C-C) in order to develop the property as Mixed-use development.
The subject property is generally located on the Southwest corner of Farm to Market Road 664/Ovilla Road and Shaw Creek Blvd, City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas and further described as a 17.442-acre tract within the Mason Phelps Survey and J W Baker Survey, Abstract No. 824 & 35, and being a portion of ECAD Property ID #188943.
The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this rezoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Ferris City & ISD Administration Building – Joint Board & Council Chambers, 301 E 5th St., Ferris, TX 75125.
All persons interested in the proposed rezoning request are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time.
