NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023

PROPOSED ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WILMER

The City Council of the City of Wilmer, Texas (the “City”) annually adopts a budget under the provisions of Chapter 101 of the Texas Local Government Code (the “Act”).

Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that the City of Wilmer, Texas Council will conduct public hearing on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. at the Wilmer Community Center, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, Texas 75172 to receive public input regarding the proposed 2022-2023 Fiscal Year annual budget.

This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $2,663,105, which is a 68.91 percent increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $1,434,890.

A proposed budget is available for public inspection at City Hall, 128 N. Dallas Avenue, Wilmer, Texas 75172 and on the City’s website at http://www.cityofwilmer.net interested persons will be given an opportunity to appear and be heard.
