NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS, CITY OF FERRIS, TEXAS, FERRIS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 (SHAW CREEK)
DATE, TIME, AND PLACE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING.
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas (the “City Council” and the “City”) will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 215 W Sixth St, Ferris, Texas, to consider an ordinance (1) approving the City of Ferris, Texas, Ferris Public Improvement District No. 1 (Shaw Creek) O&M Service and Assessment Plan (the “O&M Service and Assessment Plan”) and (2) levying assessments against certain property located within the Ferris Public Improvement District No. 1 (Shaw Creek) (the “District”).
GENERAL NATURE OF THE IMPROVEMENTS.
The general nature of the public improvements proposed to be undertaken and financed by the District for the special benefit of the Assessed Property consist of the cost for pocket parks, open space, trails, distinctive lighting and signage, recreational facilities, landscaping, water, wastewater, drainage facilities, sidewalks, costs of establishing administering and operating the District (including on-going maintenance), and the annual collection costs for the District.
COST OF THE IMPROVEMENTS.
The estimated cost of operation and maintenance of the public improvements that is proposed to be assessed is $4,939.83.
BOUNDARIES OF THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT.
The boundaries of the District include approximately 67.708-acre tract of land located on the south side of FM 664, west of Rolling Hills Drive in the City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas, on the west side of the City of Ferris, approximately one mile west of Interstate 45. A metes and bounds description and a map of the District, and the proposed Assessment Roll for the District are available for public inspection at the office of the City Secretary.
WRITTEN OR ORAL OBJECTIONS.
Written or oral objections to the proposed assessments against the ETJ Assessed Property will be considered at the hearing.
