1ST FERRIS HOLIDAY MARKET IS SATURDAY, DEC. 9
FERRIS – Everyone loves the holidays.
Even more so when the holiday includes attending events where you can enjoy a toy drive, a car/bike show, good food and plenty of shopping.
The first annual Ferris Holiday Market offers all that and more this year at the Ferris Junior High School, 1002 E. 8th Street on Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Ferris Junior High School PTO is organizing the event this year, and Jesse Rodriguez reminded everyone this is also a Toys for Tots event and, “All the toys collected will go to children in the local community.
“The Robert F Rodriguez Leadership Foundation, which I’m a part of is also helping host the toy drive car show that benefits toys for tots.
“They have also partnered with Ferris ISD and local businesses to help collect gifts in support of the toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots.”
Carter BloodCare will also be on hand hosting a blood drive and giving away fleece blankets for all those who “give the gift of life for Christmas.”
And to include everyone in the giving, the Ferris Junior High School PTO will also be hosting a nursing home drive with all collected items being donated to Ellis County Nursing Homes.
