Autumn member show set for Nov. 9

WAXAHACHIE – Artwork from artists from all over Ellis County will be on display at The Hamilton at Garden Valley in Waxahachie Nov. 9.

The public is encouraged to attend.

The Autumn Member Show will be from 1-5 p.m., and the art will be for sale. Oil, watercolor, acrylic paintings and more will be available. Admission is free. The show will be judged by Henry Prikryl before opening to the public. 

Members of the Ellis County Art Association are hosting the event. Members also host a Youth Show for school children, attend various community events and provide free face painting. 

Upcoming classes include Holiday Art for Kids Christmas Design 1 (ages 6-11) which will be Thursdays beginning Nov. 7 until Nov. 21, 4:30-6 p.m.  

Christmas Design 2 (ages 11-14) will be Tuesdays beginning Nov. 5 until Nov. 19, 4:30-6 p.m.  

Members meet on the first Monday of the month at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). 

The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing. 

Announcements and business start at 6:30 p.m., and the Demo begins at 6:45 p.m. The next meeting is Nov. 4.
