CANDIDATE FORUM SLATED FOR JAN. 25

WAXAHACHIE – Ellis County Republican Women and KBEC will be hosting a candidate forum for candidates in the upcoming Ellis County Primary Election for local, non-federal, Republican candidates.

The event will be held Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Waxahachie Civic Center, 2000 Civic Center Lane. 

Meet the candidates at the “Meet and Greet” beginning at 6 p.m.

The Forum will be moderated by Ken Roberts of KBEC and broadcast live over 1390 AM / 99.1 FM beginning at 7 p.m.

“We want to give voters a chance to hear from the candidates to help them make their voting decisions.  

“The questions will be related to the office which they are seeking, and the candidates will not know what the questions are in advance,” according to Beverly Gatlin, of Ellis County Republican Women. 

In addition to holding the question-and-answer session with Republican candidates in the contested races, the Ellis County Republican Women and KBEC invite all Republican candidates (contested or uncontested) for local, non-federal, Republican Candidates on the Primary ballot to attend the event and meet with voters.  

Each Republican candidate will be given a few minutes to speak.
