Ellis County Art Association to host artist Irma Ward

WAXAHACHIE – The Ellis County Art Association will host artist Irma Ward at its monthly meeting, June 3 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie. The meeting is open to the public.

Throughout her career, Ward has created artwork from traditional works to plein air (French for open air) paintings; and, more recently, to works of abstraction. She works with a variety of mediums: oils, acrylics, pastels, and currently oil with cold wax. 

Ward received a teaching certificate from the Liliedahl School of Traditional Oil Painting, then began sharing her knowledge at her Arlington studio in 2008.

The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m., with refreshments and socializing. Announcements and business will start at 6:30, and the Demo will begin at 7.
