Ennis Equipment Services Superintendent investigated by DPS
ENNIS – A theft investigation is underway regarding City of Ennis Equipment Services Superintendent Eric Contreras.
The City of Ennis initiated the theft investigation according to a Facebook post on their social media page.
While the facts are unclear, the city did share the information in a media release.
“The City of Ennis takes matters of public integrity and accountability very seriously and is fully cooperating with authorities to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation,” stated Dustin Munn, interim city manager.
“While the City is committed to keeping the public informed, the nature of this active investigation limits the details that can be shared at this time.”
The release further stated the city has been “made aware of the detention” of Contreras by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The release also indicated updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
“As we navigate this situation, our focus remains on upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and ensuring the integrity of our operations,” said Munn.
“We recognize the importance of transparency and maintaining the trust of our community and ask for patience as we navigate this matter.”
