Ferris lands $35-million project
FERRIS – Henry S. Miller Company announced a new mixed-use development in Ferris during a recent Ferris city council meeting.
Casitas Shaw Creek will be the newest mixed-use project by the long-time Dallas company, a full-service real estate firm.
Casitas Shaw Creek will be the first institutional quality project built in Ferris, featuring 204 residential units in six, three-story buildings and a 5,000 square foot retail building.
The project will offer 1, 2, and 3-bedroom homes with modern amenities and finishes, as well as a clubhouse, fitness center, lounge, pool, dog park, BBQ grilling areas, and abundant parking.
The project, situated on a 11.4-acre site between FM 664 and FM 983 and adjacent to the Shaw Creek Towne Center, offers convenient access to major highways, employment centers, retail and entertainment options, and recreational opportunities.
Construction of the project, estimated to cost approximately $35 million, is expected to commence in the spring of 2024 and take about two years to complete.
Henry S. Miller developers Steve Donosky and Hal Watson said, “We are excited to bring this high-quality, mixed-use development to Ferris, and believe Casitas at Shaw Creek will meet the growing demand for affordable and attractive housing options in this area, as well as provide needed retail services to the residents and community.
“We are grateful for the support and cooperation of the Ferris city council and staff, who have been instrumental in making this project possible.”
