Midlothian HS student threatens to kill 2 teachers
MIDLOTHIAN – A 16-year-old student at Midlothian High School was arrested last Thursday and charged with two counts of terroristic threat, a class B misdemeanor, and places weapons prohibited, a 3rd degree felony.
Midlothian Police said they will not release the name of the student due to the fact he is a juvenile.
Midlothian School Resource Officers from the Midlothian Police Department responded to the report of a student who had threatened to kill two teachers.
One officer entered the classroom where the student was detained.
A second school resource officer observed a firearm in the front seat of the juvenile’s vehicle.
No one was injured, and the student was taken into custody and transported to the Midlothian Police Department.
He is now being held at the Ellis County Juvenile Detention Center in Waxahachie.
“The Midlothian Police Department values the ongoing collaboration with Midlothian ISD in our shared dedication to ensuring the safety of students and staff,” the Midlothian PD stated.
“Rest assured, incidents of this nature are treated with utmost seriousness and will be promptly addressed in accordance with applicable laws.”
