More inflammatory emails sent to the ECP publisher
In last week’s Ellis County Press, the paper outlined a recent offensive email chain to the publisher from Spat Capital Developer Heran Patel, who did not agree with an ETJ issue in the City of Wilmer, which the paper reported on several months ago.
After the paper was published last week, Patel fired off more offensive emails.
This time, Patel made threats to take the newspaper and the building in which it is located from newspaper publisher Charles D. Hatfield, Jr.
The emails are below (punctuation is as received).
On March 30, 2023 Patel wrote: “I have reviewed your assets and the building you office out of is owned by Hatfield and associates.
“Since I apparently don’t do my due diligence I’ll be sure that my lawyer goes after everything you own. I don’t take your comments lightly and you will see that in a lawsuit format. The big boys settle this in the courts.
“We shall see it your comments regarding my property being in the city limit is true or not.
“Since you have become the lawyer, judge and jury Im sure defending yourself will be of no issue.
The fall of the Ellis County Sh*t Press has begun.”
Patel also wrote in an email later that same day: “Lol no my little bitch. I’m sure you will enjoy dealing with this one.
“I’ll leave you with one last thought before you get served by my lawyer.
“When I win my case against your boyfriends in Wilmer, you will hide in your little shell because you lack integrity, ethics, and morals.
“For someone that runs an irrelevant paper, you sure didn’t do your due diligence before writing that article which only reflects on your poor life.
“You may not know that your boyfriend Michael Halla is a bottom-of-the-barrel lawyer.
“Go look at all the lawyers who are suing Wilmer and now you.
“Will Charles Hatfield Jr. admit he’s wrong? To be Continued............
“Enjoy my bitch.”
Other offensive remarks were also bandied back and forth after Hatfield told Patel he forgave him for his rude remarks (the remarks published in last week’s newspaper).
In addition to his remarks to this newspaper, Patel has also been on the attack at the City of Wilmer, publishing crude images of the city attorney and several city councilmembers.
He also alleged the mayor had falsified the city’s population to extend the ETJ a mile out, and went after local developer Mike Radar and Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price in his accusations.
