Rep. Brian Harrison wins reelection in landslide
MIDLOTHIAN – Texas State Representative Brian Harrison (R-District 10) was reelected to the Texas House of Representatives Tuesday in a landslide victory.
STATEMENT BY REP. HARRISON:
“I’ve been honored to fight for the freedom and liberty of all Texans since getting elected in 2021 and am proud to be one of the most effective conservatives in the Texas Legislature.
“Working tirelessly on behalf of House District 10 for border security, lower taxes, quality education, and limited government, I’ve also successfully led the charge to end COVID vaccine mandates, stopped taxpayer funding of the Marxist-led American Library Association, pressured Texas A&M to cancel their LGBTQ Studies Minor, helped prevent people from getting regular ballots when they have non-citizen IDs, passed a bill to let Texas State Technical College expand educational and professional opportunities in Ellis county, and last week stopped the Texas Workforce Commission from treating “gender identity” as a protected class.
“I want government to be as irrelevant to our lives as possible, so we can be as free as God intended us to be.”
Rep. Brian Harrison was first elected in a special election in September 2021. Following his overwhelming victory, he was re-elected in 2022 and had no one file against him in the Republican Primary.
Rep. Harrison is proud to have been backed by conservative leaders like Governor Greg Abbott, Sen. Ted Cruz, Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, Grassroots America and its Executive Director JoAnn Fleming, Texas Right to Life, members of President Trump’s Cabinet, numerous local elected officials and GOP precinct chairs, and has been praised by world-renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson for having helped deliver conservative victories with President Trump and as a “champion for our limited government beliefs.”
A native Texan, Rep. Harrison graduated from Ovilla Christian School and earned a degree in Economics from Texas A&M University. Prior to getting elected, he served as President Trump’s Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the largest cabinet agency in the world, where he helped secure the border with Title 42, slash burdensome regulations, and defund Planned Parenthood. He previously served in the Administration of President George W. Bush and ran a small family business in Ellis County, where he lives with his wife, Tara, and their four children.
