Wilmer’s 38th Annual Pioneer Days begins Friday, Sept. 16
WILMER – The 2022 Wilmer Pioneer Days is on for the 38th annual (minus a slight disruption during the recent pandemic).
This year’s multi-day festival is in fact, set to be one of the best parties in town.
Expecting more than 500 attendees at the celebration, which will be held over a three-day period, Wilmer Pioneer Days will be welcoming city officials and residents past and present coming together to enjoy the beginning of autumn and a true spirit of camaraderie.
The three-day event will be held from Sept. 16 to 18, with the carnival opening Friday evening at 5 p.m., closing at 10 p.m.
On Saturday, carnival hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The highlights of the event, in addition to the carnival, will be the music lineup – with seven bands performing Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
Music from Landon Blake will begin the show lineup, followed by Kaba Rios, Mersey Men, Tejano Outlaw Band, Grupo Extreme and Kadie Lynn, with the closing act for the evening – Thin White Lining – taking the stage from 8 to 9 p.m.
