OBITUARY: Eugene Jistel, Jr.

Eugene Jistel, Jr. passed away to his heavenly home on Feb. 12, 2019, with his family by his side.

He was born Dec. 6, 1962, to Eugene and Annie Mae Jistel Sr. in Dallas, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Jistel Sr.; His brother, James Jistel.

Jr. was a very kind and loving. He loved spending time outdoors. Planting vegetables and raising chickens and quail. He hatched a bunch of them with his homemade incubator. He could fix anything. He once built a propone-ran tiller, and two electric bikes. Jr. fought the good fight and now he is no longer suffering. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him, especially Stacie and the kids.

Survivors include his wife Stacie Jistel; son, Adam Jistel; daughter, Lynsee Jistel; and new grandbaby due in July; his siblings, Patricia Meister and husband Butch, Connie Barnes and husband Melvin, Norma Lauer, Arnold Jistel, Doug Jistel; his mother, Annie Marie Jistel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jr. will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Nolan Lowry officiating. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
