FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (September 26, 2019)
The Ferris Public Library will be hosting a Free Adult Fall Craft Class on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The library will be supplying all the materials needed for the home décor project to the first ten people that arrive on time. You may call us to reserve your place in the class, but supplies are limited so you will still need to be one of the first ten people.
The Library’s Book a Librarian program will be ending on Sept. 27.
This program allows you to call the library at 972-544-3696 and reserve an hour between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to schedule that time with a library staff member to learn about Microsoft Word, Basic Excel, and PowerPoint.
Library staff may also assist you in creating an email account or showing you how to use Facebook. Book a Librarian sessions are free of charge, and you do not need to be a member of the library to take advantage of this service.
After-School Game Time for ages 7 through 17, is held every Tuesday, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Kids can play Wii and PS4 on the large screens, and for those that like the board games they can play them as well.
Story Time for pre-school children is on each Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Children will be treated to a story, fun activities, and have a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the Treasure Chest.
