Voting for the 2019 Ellis County Constitutional Amendment and Joint Election will be held on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2019, at the Ferris Public Library, 301 E. 10th St., from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Ellis County has been approved and authorized by the State of Texas to hold elections using precinct polling locations. This allows Ellis County registered voters to vote at ANY Vote Center. You will no longer have to vote at your specific precinct location on Election Day. You will need to have one, out of the seven acceptable forms of photo identification, with you to cast your ballot.

Festive Holiday Adult Craft Class: You are invited to the Ferris Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., to attend our free Christmas adult craft class. Aurora Ramirez will be demonstrating how to create a 20-inch candy cane wreath or a 14-inch traditional wreath. All materials needed will be supplied by the library.

The Ferris Public Library is working with Ferris ISD to offer free E-book usage to their students. This service will be available to the following schools: Ferris Intermediate, Jr. High and High School. You may get an application from the school’s librarian or pick one up here at the library. The completed form will need to be returned to the student’s school. The library is pleased to be able to provide this free resource to our community’s students enrolled at these Ferris ISD campuses.

After-School Game Time for ages 7 through 17, is held every Tuesday, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Kids can play Wii and PS4 on the large screens, and for those that like the board games they can play them as well.
