PUBLIC NOTICE: City of Ferris public hearings to consider rezoning requests initiated by Fast Investments LLC to rezone four lots Dec. 19, 2019 and Jan. 6, 2020

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL 

City of Ferris, Texas 

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold public hearings to consider rezoning requests initiated by Fast Investments LLC to rezone four lots from the Light Industrial & Warehousing (I-L) zoning district to the Single-Family Residential-3 (R-3) district in order to construct new single-family homes on the lots.  

The subject four lots are generally located on the east side of N. Church Street and north of Avenue B, within the City of Ferris, Texas and also within Ellis County, Texas.  

Legal descriptions of the four subject lots are as follows: 

700 N. Church Street (0.2± acre):  ECAD #163258 Lot 1 in Block 3 of the Weatherford 1st Addition; 

704 N. Church Street (0.2± acre): ECAD #163259 Lot 2 in Block 3 of the Weatherford 1st Addition; 

712 N. Church Street (0.2± acre):  ECAD #163250 Lot 3 in Block 3 of the Weatherford 1st Addition;  and 

716 N. Church Street (0.2± acre):  ECAD #163251 Lot 4 in Block 3 of the Weatherford 1st Addition. 

The first public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on these rezoning requests will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. 

A second public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on these rezoning requests will be held before the Ferris City Council on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. 

All public hearings will be held in the regular meeting place, the Ferris Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125. 

All persons interested in the proposed rezoning requests are invited to attend the public hearings and to provide their comments at that time.
