FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (March 5, 2020)
Join us for our Spring Break Morning Movie Matinee! The Ferris Public Library will be showing the popular newly released movie “Frozen 2” on Wednesday, Mar. 11, at 10 a.m. “Frozen 2” is rated PG and is 1 hour and 43 minutes in length. The movie will be shown on the big screen in the Aubrey Trussell Memorial Meeting Room, with free admission, popcorn, and drinks. An adult must accompany all children ages ten (10) and under.
Tuesdays After-School Game Time and Wednesdays Story Time will not be held during Spring Break. Both programs will resume the following week.
We have the 1040 and 1040-SR forms and instruction books for those who like to go the paper route. Form 1040 has been redesigned, and the 1040-SR has been introduced for use by taxpayers age 65 or older. Staff members may also retrieve various forms for you from IRS.gov but are not allowed to help you fill out tax papers. Copies are 10¢ per page. If you prefer to file your taxes online and are not a member of the Ferris Public Library, you may ask for a guest pass. Guest passes are free and are valid for two computer sessions before a library membership is required.

Sayings and Origins: “Pie in the sky” refers to something pleasant to imagine but unattainable. It comes from a 20th-century song penned and popularized by labor organizer Joe Hill. The song parodied the hymn “The Sweet By and By,” which promised a heavenly reward after death.
