PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL, City of Ferris, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a rezoning request initiated by 820 Mark IV LLC/Wayne S. Chan (represented by Lennar Homes of Texas Land and Construction Ltd.) to rezone an 11.0± acre property from the Commercial Neighborhood (C-N) and the Multi-Family Residential (MF-18) zoning districts to a Planned Development (PD) Residential zoning district in order to develop the property as a “cluster home” residential neighborhood.
The subject property is generally located on the south side of FM 660, approximately 1,000± feet east of the Ferris ISD High School, within the City of Ferris, Texas and also within Ellis County, Texas (legal description: a portion of a 373.7± acre tract within the Mason Phelps Survey, Abstract No. 824, and being a portion of ECAD Property #188886).
The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this rezoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
The joint public hearing will be held in the regular meeting place, the Ferris Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.
All persons interested in the proposed rezoning request are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time. Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the City at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the joint public hearing at the following address:
