PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE 

PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

and CITY COUNCIL, 

City of Ferris, Texas

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a Final Residential Replat request initiated by Clinton Rhodes to replat Lots 8 and 9 of the Weatherford’s 2nd Addition to Lots 1R, 2R, and 3R of the Weatherford’s 2nd Addition on property zoned Single Family Residential (R-3) District for single-family uses. 

The subject property is generally located on the East side of Maple St., approximately 212 ± feet North of Ferris Road, and approximately 114± South of Weatherford St., and within the City of Ferris, Texas and also within Ellis County, Texas (legal description:  a 0.6870 tract within the Mason Phelps Survey, Abstract No. 824, and being a portion of ECAD Property #188949).

The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this rezoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

The joint public hearing will be held in the regular meeting place, the Ferris Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.

All persons interested in the proposed rezoning request are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time.
