Statewide effort to collect damage assessment includes Ellis County
ELLIS COUNTY – The Texas Division of Emergency Management Disaster Recovery Task Force is asking all residents in Ellis County for help in their intent to collect damage assessment from last week’s winter weather event.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced earlier this week there would be a statewide effort to collect the damage assessment data.
“The information is being collected to help officials across the state gain an understanding of damages for individuals throughout Texas,” a press release read.
EMCs will have direct access to all reporting via WebEoc on the Recovery Common Operating Picture Board.
“Our objective in this effort is to demonstrate the scale of this disaster at the local level,” the release went on to read. “As such, this will be a local effort with support from the state.”
