A special Thank You to The Ellis County Press (ECP) for publishing the children’s pictures in the newspaper! The ECP has been a friend of the Ferris Public Library for years and always promotes the services we offer and our programs and activities.
The deadline to vote in the May 7, 2022 Joint General and Special Election is Apr. 7, 2022. There are two Constitutional Amendments on the ballot, three Proposed Bond Propositions for Ferris ISD along with the Ferris ISD School Board. You can easily register online at voteTexas.gov or stop by the library for a Texas Voter Registration Application to be mailed, postage paid, to the Registrar of Voters office.
The Ferris Public Library has tax forms 1040 and 1040-SR along with the instruction book for your 2021 tax return. If you’re in need of a tax form that’s not in the booklet we can print it off for you, 10¢ per page.

WORD OF THE WEEK: Skyrocket (SKYE-rah-kut), to shoot up suddenly (verb). “To create a soda rocket (and a big mess!) all you need is a bottle of diet cola and a pack of Mentos mints. When you drop Mentos into the bottle of diet cola, carbon dioxide molecules from the soda attach to the mints and create giant bubbles, causing fizzy soda to skyrocket into the air.”
