FERRIS OFFERS FREE HEALTH AND DENTAL WEEKEND

FERRIS – Health is an important part of a strong and happy life.

The City of Ferris continues to do their part in making sure its residents realize their health potential and this weekend it is once again offering an easy solution to health.

“The City of Ferris is once again pleased to offer our residents more in the form of healthcare with a free dental and medical event this weekend,” said Ferris City Manager Brooks Williams.

Offered by the City of Ferris and the Ferris Fire Department in partnership with MD Health Pathways, Ferris Family Medicine, Jet Dental and Texas A&M Dentistry, residents will find an array of free services available.

Free medical services will include blood pressure screenings, diabetic screenings, urine tests, heart health checks and physical exams.

For those seeking dental care Operation Ferris will include basic fillings, extractions and preventive care such as x-rays cleanings,  fluoride and sealants for residents.

Root canals, partials and dentures are not included in this weekend’s dental services.

Dental services are also being limited to one per day and all patients must be screened.

The dental services will be prioritized by severity and all patients must be seen by an onsite medical provider before receiving dental care.

“Another initiative through Operation Ferris, we are pleased to continue this positive trend enabling our residents/customers an array of health-related opportunities for a 100% quality of life,” Williams concluded.
