The dynamics of discipleship (part 27)
And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” – LUKE 4:3
Jesus was tired, hungry, and thirsty from His 40-day fast when the devil questioned Him about who He was.
Satan never approaches the strong or vigilant because he knows he can’t gain an advantage, so he waits for the sick, weak, and weary before he strikes.
This is why we as children of the Most High must know and become aware of who we are in Christ, lest the powers of darkness deceive us and overtake our position of trust in the Lord.
We are the righteousness of God in Christ, given all authority over the enemy and anointed for battle against our adversaries.
A believer must be fully acquainted with his weapons and armor in order to defeat our oldest adversary, the devil, who knows the word of God better than you and will sometimes have the audacity to use it against you.
But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” – LUKE 4:4
