Early voting hours here at the Ferris Public Library are as follows: Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 through Friday, Nov. 4, 2022 from 7 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day.

Ferris ISD has posted a Public Notice of Election here at the library. If you want to learn more about this Bond Election, please stop by to see our community’s needs for the future.
The Ferris Public has a new phone number beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. Please call (972) 544-2110 and select option 9. With this upgrade you will be able to leave a message instead of having to call back when we’re open. Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
We have “Pumpkin Pages” that your child(ren) may color and either take home or let us display their artistic talent here. Pages will be accepted and displayed until Nov. 30, 2022.
NEW BOOKS: “A Darker Reality: Elena Standish #3) by Anne Perry, “The Hidden One” by Linda Castillo, “The Retreat” by Sarah Pearse, “Harvest Moon: A Riverbend Romance” by Denise Hunter, “Shattered” by James Patterson, and “The Pallbearers Club” by Paul Tremblay.
WORD OF THE WEEK: “Skyrocket” (SKYE-rah-kut). To create a soda rocket (and a big mess!) all you need is a bottle of diet soda and a pack of Mentos mints. When you drop the Mentos into a bottle of diet cola, carbon dioxide molecules from the soda attached to the mints creates giant bubbles, causing fizzy soda to skyrocket into the air. Don’t attempt this trick unless you get permission from your parents!
