FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (March 2, 2023)
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2. Come by the Ferris Public Library on Thursday, March 2, from 3 – 5 p.m. to help us celebrate his birthday.
There will be activities and opportunities to take your child’s picture in a “face-in-the-hole-board” of Cat and the Hat and with Thing 1 and Thing 2.
For a bit of trivia, Dr. Seuss would be 119 years old on this birthday. And the Cat in the Hat, making his debut in 1957 – this mischievous character has been entertaining us for 66 years.
Library staff may be reached at: ferrislibrary@ferristexas.gov or (972) 544-2110, Option 9.

WORD OF THE WEEK: “Indubitable” (in-DOO-buh-tuh-bul) and adjective meaning beyond question or doubt. The following facts are indubitable: March 2 is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday; April is the first month of the year to have a total of 30 days; The Ferris Public Library is awesome!
