DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE: The Texas Border Crisis – and then some

I am going to begin this week with a mention of what a reader wrote to me about his take on the border crisis.

And yes, it is a crisis that has no end in sight. 

However, here in Texas Governor Greg Abbott is playing his own game and he and Biden are certainly bumping heads.

A reader said he heard “Biden is sending planes to countries that have folks that want to come to the United States.

“All the immigrants, illegals, whatever term we are using this week, all they must do is use the app and the US government is promoting a ‘let’s make a deal sort of situation’ to pick between 20 to 40 cities you can fly into in the USA.

“And it’s an all-expense paid one way ticket compliments of the US taxpayers and you don’t need a passport to enter.” 

What about those trying to live here legally? 

Oh well, for the illegals it’s jackpot extraordinaire when you arrive, and someone said you even get a brand new Social Security number too.   

I did some research about the illegal flights and the New York Post wrote a long piece: www.nypost.com/2023/09/21/biden-secretly-has-let-221456-migrants-fly-into-the-us-in-past-year. 

“One of the least noticed, mysterious and potentially most controversial of the new rechanneling programs that use the CBP One app allows migrants to take commercial passenger flights from foreign countries straight to their American cities of choice, flying right over the border.”

The article stated, “between late October 2022 and mid-September 2023, the administration approved a total of 221,456 Venezuelans, Haitians, Cubans and Nicaraguans for ‘travel mode: air.’”

Alabama Senator Katie Britt recently encouraged everyone to read Tenn. Senator Bill Haggerty’s Op-Ed stating Biden’s intentions regarding the border. 

“It is to continue migration into this nation and into a space where it is unsustainable. 

“If you look back over his administration, there have been 2.3 million people that have come here.”

She suggested putting that number into perspective. 

“Alabama is the 24th largest state and that is half of that state’s population of 5 million.” 

She also added the final numbers now are about 7 million. 

There are reportedly 9,000 migrants at the border every day and it was projected by Britt at the current rate the US will hit 3 million in the next fiscal year alone. 

“That’s more than 10 million migrants who have come here illegally across our border during Biden’s tenure. 

“We have heard secure the border and we know walls work,” Britt said. 

In fact, she said Biden too know the walls work because he is building one around his beach house in Delaware, but yet not affording everyday Americans that same respect.

One woman on social media said, “We are supposed to believe hundreds of military age men from hundreds of different continents from out of the blue decided all at the same time decided to come to America with no prompting. 

“They hate Americans as people in New York will tell you and who invited them here. 

“I know no one from the government invited them because that would be paramount to treason.”

Does anyone think this large number of mainly “men of military age” is normal?

And if you don’t believe me (I know they show the women and babies on mainstream media for effect), we do know the cartels have colored wristbands on many children crossing the border who are reportedly whisked off to YOU KNOW WHERE to pay off the family debt of coming over.

I am sure there are people in the USA who think this is all okay. I have talked to some of them. 

However, I can promise you some of those voters who liked the idea of a sanctuary city are wondering what the heck they were thinking as they watch the young men being unloaded in Staten Island moving into a former elderly residence located next door to an elementary school.

Oh right, and they kicked the elderly folks out – it is all about the money.

In Texas, Abbott was on television this week explaining the story of the razor wire, and he is not relenting.

Abbott said, “The Texas National Guard for months after months have been erecting these military razor wire barriers that denies access to the state of Texas from the river and from the border, and we have repelled tens of thousands of migrants who tried to get into Texas illegally. 

“Then yesterday Joe Biden had his border patrol officers cut through that wire and then they pulled the razor wire and suddenly let in hundreds if not thousands of people illegally into Texas and the United States.”

So, what did Abbott do –  “We went back today with the Texas National Guard, and we doubled the amount of that razor wire.” 

When I posted on social media over the weekend, I mentioned the Texas National Guard might not be able to do this alone. It might at some point require civilians to help and there were comments from around the country “they were ready to come to Texas.”

And no matter who we are opening our arms to in the US, the Venezuelans planting their flags on Texas soil is not a good way to be welcomed to this country.

How much money should we spend on illegal immigrants when people in the US are hurting?

And Biden economics is at 17% inflation, and the country faces more than $33 trillion in debt for the first time in the nation’s history. And in fact $1 trillion of that amount was accrued in the past three months.

And good news for Zelensky because even if our government shuts down (this country must be getting PUNKED), Joe decided we were going to give Ukraine $325 million.
