HUTCHINS HIRING 4 NEW OFFICERS
HUTCHINS – The City of Hutchins will hire four new police officers through a United States Department of Justice Office of Community-Oriented Policing Services grant.
The grant is in the amount of $500,000 and Hutchins is one of 33 agencies to receive this funding and the only police department in Dallas County.
“Receiving these funds will increase minimum staffing levels in the city’s police department patrol and criminal investigations divisions,” said Hutchins Police Chief Steve Perry.
“Hutchins has had an increase in calls for service and motor vehicle accidents every year for the past five years due to the growth in the Southern Dallas County region.”
