FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (April 18, 2024)
We have an exciting program coming up on Thursday, April 18 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Coloring & Conversation, presented by Tabitha Pennon, is a program geared towards adults. This is a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and engage in meaningful conversations while exploring your creativity through coloring.
Refreshments, coloring pages, and coloring supplies will be provided. No registration is required for this event. We look forward to seeing you there.
Story Time is hosted every Wednesday from 10:30 – 11 a.m. Children are treated to stories, fun activities, and a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the treasure chest.
After-School Game Time is held each Thursday from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Children can play the PS5 on the large screen in the meeting room and board games are also available.
NEW BOOKS: “The Bootheel” by Kevin Wolf, “The Fires of Hell” by J.A. Johnstone, “The Wild Side” by Fern Michaels, “Three-Inch Teeth” by C.J. Box, “The Bookbinder's Guide to Love” by Katherine Garbera, and “Two Wrongs Make a Right” by Chloe Liese.
FUN FACTS: Some libraries went to extraordinary lengths to make sure their titles remained on the shelves. At Marsh’s Library in Dublin, Ireland, visitors hoping to peruse rare books in the 18th century were locked in cages until they were done reading.
The library is located at 301 E. 10th St., across from Mutz Ballpark. Library staff may be reached at ferrislibrary@ferristexas.gov or (972) 544-2110, Option 9.
