Compass Datacenter holds ribbon cutting ceremony

RED OAK – Compass Datacenters, one of the largest data center companies in the world, held its ribbon cutting ceremony this week in Red Oak to announce the completion of its manufacturing facility, which the company built for Schneider Electric.

Held June 20, the ribbon cutting was also a chance for those in attendance to tour the facility and talk to executives about the project.

The facility will manufacture engineer-to-order power modules and 3-phase UPS testing, which are the critical power components for use in Compass’ large data center campuses worldwide.

The end user for the product being manufactured at the Red Oak facility are data center cloud services and providers.

The 105,000 square-foot facility, which is adjacent to Compass’ Red Oak campus, will create over 200 jobs in the area and “enable both organizations to integrate their supply chain networks in response to data center business growth and customer demands,” according to the Schneider Electronic website.

Schneider Electric, is the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation.

The company has had a presence in the U.S. for 135 years and nationwide employees more than 19,000 workers.

The Red Oak facility, according to a press release, is part of the company’s $3.3 billion partnership with Schneider Electric.

A November 2023 Reuters article said “Schneider’s $3 billion supply agreement with Compass will span five years.
