Beatriz Welch oil painting demonstration Sept. 9

WAXAHACHIE – Beatriz Welch, a docent at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, will be doing an oil painting demonstration for The Ellis County Art Association at their monthly meeting, Sept. 9 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). 

The public is encouraged to attend.

Welch has spent a good deal of time in Texas and New Mexico, and her works reflect the warm colors of these states. 

Her formal art education was in Madrid, Spain and in Dublin, Ireland. 

In the United States, she has attended several workshops, including a Master Class on outdoor landscape painting with Scott Christensen.

Her work has been accepted at OPA (Oil Painters of America) and AIS (American Impressionist Society). 

Her landscape AT Sunset was chosen among 100 artists worldwide for the book “How Did You Paint That?”, a publication of International Art Magazine.

The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing.

Announcements and business will start at 6:30 and the demo will begin at 6:45 p.m.
